The first step in your project sets the foundation for everything that follows. This phase focuses on understanding your goals, confirming feasibility, and gathering the key information needed to move forward with confidence.

During predesign, we review existing site conditions, zoning and building codes, and any constraints that may impact your project. We prepare programming spreadsheets to clarify space needs, develop a clear project narrative to align expectations, and, when applicable, evaluate ADU opportunities. We also review available topographic and geotechnical reports, along with septic or sewer conditions, to understand how the site will support the proposed design.
